Over
the past two years, I have been busy writing lessons based on the testimonies
of each woman in Scripture. Although, we
may be studying the lives of each of these women, our goal is to learn more
about the Lord God through the lives HE has recorded in Scripture. Each woman has a unique testimony and each
one reflects the sovereignty of God.
Even the women who did not love the Lord and refused to submit to His
authority has been used by God to display His character. There are tons of life applications hidden
within each life.
Scripture
tells us that God is the same “yesterday, today, and forever” (see Heb.
13:8). This is a beautiful truth for
each of us! God is still in the business
of transforming lives, restoring what we have destroyed, and using us for His
glory. His story is being written upon
our lives and His glory is being revealed through His children. This week, I began studying with my two
little girls. We began by discussing “wisdom”…What
does God’s Word say about wisdom, how do we obtain wisdom, and how is wisdom
displayed in our daily lives? Of course,
we began in Proverbs chapter one…”The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7). We do not want to be fools and
despise wisdom and instruction for through these we will learn more about the
Lord God. “Oh, taste and see that the LORD
is good! Blessed is the man who takes
refuge in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you
His saints, for those who fear him have no lack!” (Psalm 34:8-9).
God
is good! HE is worthy to be
praised! Our lives have been bought with
a price. That price was Christ’s own
blood. Our lives are not our own. We are children of the Risen Lord and we are
on this earth to proclaim His truth through our daily lives. This year, my heart’s desire is to learn more
about “living a life that is completely dedicated to the Lord God.” I am finished living for myself and seeking
to satisfy my flesh. I want to love the
Lord with all my heart, with all my mind, with all my strength, and with all my
soul. I want to be a vessel for the Lord
to use to display His glory. My life has
been filled with many sins and rebellions against the Lord God but I am so
thankful for His grace, mercy, unconditional love, and absolute forgiveness. Praise the Lord HE “rebuilds the things we
destroy” (see Is. 61:1-4) and gives us new mercies everyday!
I
pray that each of you will join me each week to study God’s Word. May we each learn more about the Lord God and
live to serve Him whole-heartedly.
